Educational Criteria:
There is a minimum education requirement of Matric/10th/SSLC or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each of the subjects studied at matric/10th/SSLC level, without mentioning any specific subjects.
Ways to Join In Indian Army
National Defence Academy:
The Indian Armed Forces have a joint defense service training facility at the National Defence Academy (NDA), where cadets of the three services - the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force - train together.
The NDA announces vacancies twice a year for candidates wanting to join the Indian Army. Aspirants for the NDA must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years old and possess a 10+2 education.
TES (Tech Entry Scheme) :
To be eligible for the post, applicants must have passed the class 12th or equivalent with a minimum of 70 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Aspirants for the TES must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years old and possess a 10+2 education.
Indian Military Academy (Non-Tech):
The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and trains officers for the Indian Army. You must pass the SSB, be medically fit, and have merit to join IMA. Another option is 10+2 Tech Entry, which is offered after your 12th exam, or the University Entry Scheme, which is available to students in their final year of engineering.
