Career Opportunities in Graphic Designing

Graphic Designing

Who is a Graphic Designer?

A graphic designer is an artist who designs artwork for print media and electronic media, such as books, television graphics, logos, and web design. To communicate ideas that inform and inspire consumers, they design visual concepts either by hand or using computer software. Designing advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports involves creating an overall layout and production design.

How to become a Designer :

In most cases, designers earn bachelor's degrees or post-graduate degrees, which improve their technical skills and allow them to create portfolios of their work, which can make them more employable after graduation.

There are many opportunities for graphic designers in industries like advertising, printing, and web design.

Skills You Need To Become a Graphic Designer :

The new design should be familiar with tools like Photoshop, Gimp, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Illustrator, Blend, etc. Within three or four years of experience, however, the career of a designer slows down.  Rather than being a team effort, designing is an individual talent.

Education Requirement

If you want to become a graphic designer, you must do a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Design program which will prepare you for the field.

University programs are usually four years long, but you can also apply directly after 10th grade in a few cases. You can apply to marketable courses at several polytechnics across India.

The curriculum consists largely of design instruction as well as liberal arts instruction. A few examples are:
