Key job responsibilities
• Understand payments business processes, regulations, and controls to analyze existing policy and process gaps. Work with partners to identify root cause of issues and develop systematic solutions to close them.
• Identify and develop appropriate data sources and analytics reports which contribute to compliance-related evaluations.
• Design and implement innovative custom technical solutions including workflow engine, Cognos analytics reports for business intelligence which contribute to compliance-related evaluations, etc.
• Provide oversight and contribute to the development of mechanisms/frameworks to help the business create regulation-based controls, and help define the technology, processes, and control improvements required for regulatory compliance.
• Perform operational deep dives on compliance-related processes and systems.
• Own, maintain, and annually update policies, procedures, and other governance documents, as necessary.
• Influence team and/or process owners to implement process improvements to improve compliance, mitigate risk, and /or drive efficiencies
• Manage project communications and serve as the first point of contact for team projects and escalations (e.g., SIMs issues, tickets).
• Contribute to management reviews regarding project progress and roadblocks. Define requirements, facilitate progress, identify blockers, and increase the visibility of issues.

OpenPages is a premium, scalable Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) tool for Risk & Compliance (R&C) Org. It gives teams across all Three Lines of Defense (3L Teams) – the holistic viewpoint of Compliance needed to respond faster to changes in regulation, assess the impact on systems and processes, attest to control performance, and effectively communicate policy positions and ‘exam readiness’ to our external regulators.

Basic Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Verbal and written communication skills as this role will be responsible for preparing reports and presenting to senior level management (e.g., project/program requirements, roadmap or other narratives, escalation responses).
• Critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically. Ability to transform raw thoughts into clear documentation and requirements (e.g., statement of work, standard operating procedures, responsibility matrix, implementation approach, audit results, reporting).
• Ability to manage projects and key stakeholders independently.

• Knowledge of the payment industry, regulatory compliance landscape, and of credit and debit payments systems
• Experience with governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) tools, such as IBM OpenPages with Watson (https://www.ibm.com/products/openpages-with-watson)
• Proficient using SQL, QuickSight, SharePoint
• Experience communicating technical software, networking, or security concepts to a non-technical audience
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, with distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
• Ability to define program strategy, delivering independently with limited guidance. Ability to manage through influence.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization
• Analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. Experience using data and metrics to drive program improvements.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Amazon’s leadership principles are required for this role.
• Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
