Educational Qualification :
Forester: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Forest Guard: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
AFPF Constable: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board.
Driver Constable: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess a valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.
Driver: HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess a valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

Age Limit ( As on 01 January 2023 ) :
Forester/Forest Guard/Driver: 18 to 40 years. Candidate must be born on or before 01 January 2005 and on or after 01 January 1983.
AFPF Constable/Driver Constable: 18 to 25 years. Candidate must be born on or before 01 January 2005 and on or after 01 January 1998.

Age Relaxations :
05 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST (H).
03 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
Salary: Rs. 14,000- 60,500/- (Pay Band II), with Grade Pay for each category of post.

Selection Process of Assam Police Recruitment 2023 :
The selection process includes Physical Standards Tests (PST)/Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)/Written Tests/Viva voce.
The final results would be based on the marks obtained in the following tests.

Physical Standards Test :
After the documents are found correct, the candidates will have to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test).
It will carry no marks.
Measurement of the height, weight & chest (Chest measurement is only for males) of the candidates will be done using the latest technology and after which the candidate will be examined by a Medical Officer for preliminary check-ups like knock knee, vision test, color blindness test, flat foot, varicose vein, physical deformities, etc.
Once a candidate clears the PST he/she will have to appear in the PET (Physical Efficiency Test).

Physical Efficiency Test :
Candidates who clear PST will be required to undergo PET.
The PET consists of the following: The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events.

Driving Test :
Candidates will be called for the Driving Test (Skill Test) in order of merit based on marks scored in PET at the rate of 10 (ten) times the number of posts allotted in respect of each category.

Written Test :
For the post of Forester Grade-I :
The written test will be 100 marks and will be completely OMR based.
There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark.
There will be a negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer.
The questions will be set in three parts- (i) Logical reasoning, Aptitude, and English Comprehension (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India, and (iii) General Mathematics of H.S. or equivalent standard & General Knowledge.
For the post of Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable & Driver :
The written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet.
For each correct answer, the candidate will get a half mark.
Questions will be of the level of class IX and X.
The total marks for the Written Test will be 50.
There will be no negative marking.

Oral Test/Viva Voce : 
Maximum 5 marks.
Candidates amongst them who qualify for the walking test will be called for the Oral/Viva Voce.

Note: Selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement whereby he/she will be required to serve a minimum period of 3 (three) years after successful completion of training or in default to refund the cost of training and travelling expenses paid by the government.
