BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor's degree in any quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or Operational Research
o 3+ years of experience with data scripting languages (e.g SQL, Python, R etc.) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab)
o 3+ years of experience working in Analytics / Business Intelligence environment
o 3+ years of writing SQL queries in a high volume database environment
o Demonstrated use of analytical packages and query languages in Python
o Demonstrate understanding and experience with relational data sets, data warehouses, data mining and data analysis techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Experience/knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques such as GBM, random forest, etc
o Experience in statistical techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, statistical inference etc
o Experience with visualization technologies such as Tableau
o Experience in e-commerce / on-line companies in fraud / risk control functions
o Exposure to software development process
o Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and influence others
o Detail-oriented and must have an aptitude for solving unstructured problems. The role will require the ability to extract data from various sources and to design/construct/execute complex analyses to finally come up with data/reports that help solve the business problem
o Ability to apply analytical, computer, statistical and quantitative skills to problem solving
o Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, high volume environment
o Ability to be adaptable and flexible in responding to deadlines and workflow fluctuations
o Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
o Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
