About the Role

Key Job Responsibilities

Drive High Instock Availability: You will be the primary owner of product availability for a set of categories across our dark store network. Your core responsibility is to ensure customers always find what they are looking for by maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing stock-outs, and improving forecasting accuracy.

Develop Robust Inventory Processes: Design, implement, and refine scalable processes to manage inventory flow from our fulfillment centers to dark stores. This includes creating robust replenishment models, setting inventory norms (min,max levels), and ensuring exceptional stock accuracy at each location.

Optimize for Inventory Efficiency: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, Tech, and Business Finance. You will identify and analyze key inventory loss buckets—such as spoilage, damage, and pilferage—and drive projects to systematically reduce wastage and improve overall profitability.

Flipkart Minutes is our hyper-local delivery service, bringing thousands of products to customers' doorsteps in minutes. We operate through a dense network of dark stores, and ensuring the right product is available at the right place and time is critical to our success. We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Inventory Planner to join our dynamic team and help us build a best-in-class inventory management system.

You are Responsible for

In this role, you will be responsible for driving instock ,optimizing inventory across the entire value chain, while driving supply chain cost down.

Deep Curiosity: You possess a strong desire to learn and understand the 'why' behind the numbers. You're proactive in exploring complex problems, questioning assumptions, and seeking innovative solutions to improve inventory health.

Exceptional Analytical Skills: You are highly proficient in handling large datasets to derive meaningful insights. Strong experience with SQL, Advanced Excel,R and data visualization tools is essential. You must be comfortable translating complex analysis into clear, actionable strategies.

Strong Collaboration & Influence: You are a natural team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can effectively work with diverse teams, articulate your ideas clearly, and influence others to drive projects to successful completion.
