BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in a technical position
- 4+ years on Big Data/Datawarehouse and any Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, Google, etc)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Ability to articulate well(verbal and written) and work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Programming experience in SQL, PySpark, Python, or Java
- Hands-on experience in the design, development, and deployment of Data Analytics workloads at scale
- Leading/Involved in highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software applications
- Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization and techniques
- Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in leading large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects.
- Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP and NoSQL databases, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting, and Dashboard development.
- Implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing, enterprise environments.
- Experience in Apache Big Data stacks such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and Hive with a track record of being involved in these Apache Open-source projects.
- Experience with OLTP databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLServer, etc
- Hadoop development ( HDFS, Map Reduce, Hive, HBase, Spark)
- Experience in ETL workflow management
- Experience in MPP databases- Redshift, Netezza, Teradata, Snowflake, Greenplum, etc.
- Customer-facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
