BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of relevant experience in a technical position

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

- 4+ years of technical experience in migrating IT infrastructure from On-Prem to any Cloud environment, including landing zone creation and application migration (On-premise to VMC on AWS experience preferred).

- 4+ years of experience in Design, build, upgrading and maintenance of VMware environments (Knowledge of vCenter, HCX, NSX, VLAN, VSAN, VMFS, NFS, and VMware tools)

- Experience in automation and Infrastructure as a Code with expertise in tools such as Python, Terraform, or Ansible

- High-end troubleshooting and communication skills

- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

- Ability to articulate well(written and verbal) and work effectively across internal and external organizations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of experience managing any Cloud Platform (private or public) or VMware

- 2+ years of experience in mentoring and leading a team

- Experience in the assessment of source architecture and mapping it to relevant target architecture in the cloud environment

- Experience in defining the right migration methodology/tools for the migrations based on technical complexity

- Practical Linux or Windows-based systems administration skills, with good knowledge of Storage, Security, and network tracks

- Good understanding and experience in dealing with firewall rules, VPC setup, network routing, Identity and access Management and security implementation

- Experience in Cloud Formation, Terraform, and other automation/scripting

- Knowledge of capacity and performance management

- Implementation experience with primary AWS/similar services like - (EC2, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, etc).

- Knowledge of IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)

- Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible is a plus

- Extended travel to customer locations may be required to perform discovery, analysis, and deliver professional services as needed
