Lead transportation planning basis requirements from FC/SC/LM stakeholders and work with 3P carriers to develop effective operational plan

- Execute daily operations in the form of route monitoring, carrier & vendor outreach, and problem solving for a rapidly growing network.

- Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Vendors, Carriers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Delivery Stations, Sort Centers)

- Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.

- Managing cross-functional initiatives, organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations

- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.

Our Quality Assurance Engineers are part of building a delightful experience that we deliver to customers. The engineers have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders from product managers to beta customers. The features are cross-OS and the QA engineers carry the responsibility to test and deliver in these environments. They get opportunities to work on solving difficult test strategies along with the development team. We test on multiple surfaces as we support Kindle for Android, Kindle for iOS, Kindle on Amazon Fire tablets and Kindle E-readers.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will be thrilled to work on our engagement features that customers love and enjoy in their everyday reading.

Key job responsibilities

* Develop and execute test plan, test cases to assess product quality meets requirements for both Functional & Non-Functional aspects.

* Develop, Execute and Maintain automation scripts to accommodate new feature releases and tools to shift-left code quality in the team.

* Create high quality defects and work with developers to identify the root cause and resolve issues.

* Experience developing in Java, Swift, C++, Python or Javascript.

* Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against schedules

* Use professional software engineering practices & best practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

* Communicate and coordinate with internal/external teams and management on requirements and status updates.

* Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience in manual testing

- Experience in automation testing

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization

- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in API & Mobile testing

- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control

- Experience in Java/Perl/Python based automation

- Experience testing back end services

- Experience running or troubleshooting code in at least one modern programming language

- Basic Knowledge of Generative AI, LLM and Machine Learning technologies.
