BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
· A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
· Software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development.
· Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Hands-on technical expertise in mobile and web-technologies
· Software development experience in building web services and highly scalable applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 6+ years of people management experience, including managing managers and senior software engineers
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
· Good understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time.
· Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches.
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Any previous experience in working with Big Data or leveraging machine learning in improving consumer experience is desirable.
