BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
*3+ years of development or technical support experience
*Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
*Experience in Unix
*Experience scripting in modern program languages
For this position we expect:
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
*Sharp troubleshooting and analytical abilities, proven design skills, excellent communication skills
Professional experience of 2+ years in a Support environment.
*2+ years of experience in Perl or shell scripts and a sound understanding of web technologies.
*Detailed knowledge of the UNIX/Linux operating system and tools
*Proficient in Perl / C / C++ / Java
*Demonstrated skill and passion for problem-solving and operational excellence
*Ability to understand and describe complex technical processes and issues.
*Clear and effective communication & documentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in which high levels of initiative, judgment, and tact have been demonstrated.
Must possess superior technical aptitude, and written and oral communications skills with the ability to interact with internal customers in a professional manner.
Proven ability to operate in high-pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Other desired technical skills include Scripting, Python, Ruby, SQL, and familiarity with object-oriented programming.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
Demonstrates skill and passion for operational excellence.
