Detailed Eligibility – APSC Jobs:

Educational Qualifications: 

Assistant Engineer:

B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering of an Indian or foreign University recognized by the Government.

 Candidates should Pass Parts A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possess only a certificate from the Institution of Engineers (India).

Eligibility Criteria:-

Degrees obtained through Distance mode of education will not be eligible,

Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to B of the Constitution of India and be a permanent resident of Assam.

As a domicile proof of the candidate,candidates must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes/The Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.

Age Limit ( As on 01 January 2024 ):  21 – 38 years

Age Relaxation of APSC Jobs:

By 05 years for SC/ST candidates, ie. upto 43 years.

By 03 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, i.e. upto 41 years

For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (Fifty) years

For the Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (Five) years for SC/ST candidates.

Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) 10 years irrespective of SCISTIOBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt.

Selection Process of APSC Jobs:

The selection process includes a Screening Examination/Written Examination and a Viva- Voice/Interview.

The Commission will decide the selection provision for any post/posts or service/services considering the status, cadre and grade or the number of applications received for the advertised post/posts or service/ services.

The Commission will also decide to conduct an examination/test etc. zone wise, depending upon the number of candidates
