Job Description
· Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts, such as different schemas star schemas, snowflakes, dimensions, facts
· Familiar with Basic ETL concepts and has used at least one ETL tool for testing (like Informatica, DataStage etc.)
· Review Data Models, Data Mappings, and Architectural Documentation to create/execute effective SIT Test Plans and SIT test case
· Create SIT test cases/test data and perform Test execution
· Writing SQL queries to extract data for test case data comparison and other validations
· Validates data by running queries in the database with the help of mapping documents and verifying that the results match the expectations
· Analyses and troubleshoots erroneous results, determine the root cause of defects, logs the defects in HP Quality Center/ALM /JIRA/ADO, and enables defect management, including working with the development team on the resolution of Software related defects
· Works closely with the software development team (Business Analysts, Developers & other testers) to ensure timely and effective testing effort
· Ensure all sign-offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases,) and that testing meets governance requirements
