Educational:
B.E/B. Tech. in (Materials/Metallurgy/Ceramics/Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing). OR M.Sc (Physics/Chemistry). OR
3-year Diploma in Engineering in (Materials/Metallurgy/Ceramics/Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing) and at least 02 years of work experience related to one of the below subject areas in OR
B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry) and at least 01 year of work experience related to one of the below subjects.
Experience:
Experience or Knowledge of Subject Area Required:
Practical Knowledge of at least one of the following: Metallographic equipment and optical microscopy.
Scanning electron microscopy.
DSC/TGA/DTA (thermal
analysis).
Melting and Heat treatment furnaces
Mechanical Testing: Tensile testing, Compression testing,
Fracture toughness in (UTM), Impact testing, and Hardness testing.
Desirable:
M.E/M.Tech. (Materials/Metallurgy/Ceramics)
It is better if the candidate has decent computer proficiency to handle lab records and minor clerical tasks related to the laboratory
Duration for IIT Jammu Job: Initially for 01 Year (Extendable based on the performance and requirement).
Age Limit: 40 Years
Salary for IIT Jammu Job: Rs. 30,000-45,000/- per month
Selection Process for IIT Jammu Job:
The selection process will be based on Test/Interaction evaluation.
The Candidate must bring all the original documents for verification during the Test/Interaction evaluation.
