Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Civilian Motor Transport Driver/Sheet Metal Worker/MTS/Unskilled Labour10th pass/ITIas per norms
Educational Qualification :
Civilian Motor Transport Driver:
10th standard pass
Must possess a valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.
Experience:
Should have at least two years of experience in driving Motor Vehicles.
Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles)

Sheet Metal Worker:
Matriculation or equivalent.
Should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) under Apprentice Act, 1961 or under any other recognized Apprenticeship scheme. OR
Should have completed training courses in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1 year of trade experience. OR
4 years experience in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial Training Institutes or other recognized institutions.
Should qualify a trade entrance examination

MTS(Motor Transport Cleaner):
Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years of experience in a mechanical workshop

MTS(Sweeper):
Educational Qualification. Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years experience in clanship in any recognized firm.

MTS(Chowkidar):
Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years experience as Chowkidar in any recognized institution/organization.

Unskilled Labour:
Matriculation pass or its equivalent from a recognized board or ITI from a recognized institution.
Experience: Three years experience in the trade.

Age Limit(As on 18 September 2023):
Civilian Motor Transport Driver: 18 -27 Years
Sheet Metal Worker: 18-30 Years
MTS(Motor Transport Cleaner): 18 -27 Years
MTS(Sweeper): 18 – 30 Years
MTS(Chowkidar): 18 – 27 Years
Unskilled Labour: 18 – 27 Years

Age Relaxation :
Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST.
Relaxable for Central Government Servants up to 40 years of age for General candidates and upto 45 years for SC candidates, who have rendered at least 03 years of continuous service under Government.

Selection Process of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 :
Scrutiny of Applications: All applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized subject to the eligibility criteria and necessary documents and the admit cards will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for document verification & appearing in the written examination.

Document Verification:
All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior to appearing in the written examination.
Candidates will be required to bring their original documents and self-attested Xerox copies (02 sets) of the same as per the directives/instructions given in their admit cards.
Written Examination:
All the shortlisted candidates will undergo a written examination on the basis of the educational qualifications prescribed for the post.
The written examination will be pen-paper-based and one hour in duration.
The Question paper (bilingual) for the written examination will consist of 80 objective-type questions with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
Maximum Marks for written exams/trade test if any. The qualifying mark in the written exam is 50% and the candidates who qualify for the written test are to be shortlisted for the trade test (where applicable).
In the case of SC and ST candidates, the qualifying marks shall be 45%.
No relaxation in qualifying marks is admissible to OBC and EWS candidates.
The merit list will be prepared strictly based on merit position as per marks obtained in the written examination and will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website along with necessary instructions.
