Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or other four-year university degrees (Journalist qualification is preferred)
2-3 experience in media relations/corporate communications (in a corporate or an agency)

Job Description:
Execute communications strategies and initiatives to support TCS’ efforts in India & global markets
Day-to-day relationship building with influencers, bloggers, media professionals
Support media relations strategy & campaigns
Manage agency and internal resources in support of media relations activities.
Collaborate with business area marketing leads and relevant business executives to develop media strategies, content, and appropriate tactics designed to generate maximum media impact in support of business objectives.
Work with relevant media leads to support the development and application of the business areas- marketing team's messages, as well as major initiatives, best client engagements and the expertise of senior management, and tailor appropriately for media
Identify parties who need to be involved either directly or indirectly in media opportunities and activities (e.g., cross-business operating groups or cross-functional areas, local image, capability groups, etc.)
Brief relevant senior executives and media team members on media issues related to the key business areas
Organize press briefings, media sessions, FAM events, and events, as required

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Superior writing capabilities are essential
Proven ability to draft a wide range of clear, concise, and high-quality media material including news releases, media Q&As, media pitch letters, bylined articles, op-eds, etc.
Social media (blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+) familiarity and skills required
Broad understanding and skills in strategic marketing and communications
Ability to interact and work closely with media contacts representing clients, alliance partners, third-party organizations, vendors, and others.
Broad knowledge of key issues and trends in and affecting the technology and business process outsourcing industries.
Strong project management, and budget management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Strong negotiation and conflict-management skills to resolve complex or disputed issues.
Strong collaboration skills with an ability to work autonomously and independently, yet integrate appropriately with Marketing & Communications colleagues across other business areas, operating groups, geographies
