Educational Qualification:
Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator:
Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective 9 subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the mediumof examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and
Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India undertaking.
Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator:
Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
Masters Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and
Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years‟ experience of in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including the Government of India undertaking

SSC Payscale Details:
Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translator/Junior Translation Officer: Rs.35,400- 1,12,400/-
 Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator: Rs.44,900- 142400/-

Selection Process:
The selection process will be based on a Computer-Based Mode Examination followed by document verification.
The written exam can consist of Paper I and Paper II and each will carry 200 marks.
Based on the performance in Paper-I + Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification.

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2023:
Paper-I (Objective Type):
Paper-I will be in objective type for 200 Marks for General Hindi/General English with a duration of 2 Hrs.
Out of the total, General Hindi will be conducted for 100 marks and General English will be conducted for 100 marks.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper I.
Marks scored by candidates in the Computer-Based Examinations (Paper-I), in the case
conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized and such normalized scores will be
used to determine final merit.
